The intermediate country and its mysterious walls - some time ago a secret wall, which could be destroyed with an enormously high number of attacks, caused turmoil. But did you know that there is also a poison wall in Elden Ring? It is located at Villa Vulkan and looks like a normal rock wall. However, if you stand next to it, you will be poisoned. Oh man, after poison veneer now also poisoning walls? Fortunately not.
poison wall is a bug
It is about: What would we do without Dataminer Zullie The Witch? At least we would learn less about what is hidden in Elden Ring's game files. Zullie also provides us with an explanation for the phenomenon of the mysterious poison wall. As with the particularly resistant secret wall \ - it is a bug.
We could actually assume that it is a desired effect. After all, it is about poison and from software obviously likes to plague with this status effect. But according to Zulie, the problem is an incorrectly assigned "hit material" (in German, for example: hits).

More about Elden Ring:
Elden Ring: 'Let me solo her' parody is the worst co-op partner of all time * Elden around disgusted bats sing real goosebone song - and the text is deadly sad Elden Ring in VR: First gameplay video for the mod looks fantastic, but I have so many questions!
False "hit material" is to blame: Hit material is basically assigned to every surface and on the one hand lets the game know what the surface we move to create the right step noises. These sound different from stone than on earth. But as Zulie explains, the HIT material not only defines the background noise, but also determines whether we receive a type of damage like fire damage.
If we run through the type of terrain that all soul fans like to "like", namely a poison swamp, the hit material ensures that our poison beam builds up. The reason for this is that the green broth "Hit Material 25" is assigned, which ensures the effect.
This is exactly what the wall is assigned: a mistake, as Zullie explains. After all, the whole thing makes no sense and really looks completely arbitrary. However, this bug should be fixed quite easily.
Have you already come across the poison wall and what would you think of poison walls in addition to the nasty swamps?
