To other sega arcade hall closures in Japan? The President of Genda Sega answers

To read also: Nintendo: Rare archives of an arcade game of 1974 discoveries As we said yesterday, Genda Sega Entertainment announced yesterday the closing next September of the mythical Sega Ikebukuro Gigo room after 28 years of activity. Contrary to the recent closure of other rooms, such as the famous Sega Akihabara 2 a year ago, this end of activity is not linked to the crisis caused by the Cvid-19 pandemic but at a non-renewed lease by the owner of the walls. Despite this particular case, the general situation pushed a Belgian Internet user to stop the president of Genda Sega Entertainment, Nao Kataoka, on Twitter. The latter has indeed asked him if not renewing the Sega halls leases was now part of his company's strategy to deal with the pandemic crisis. What Nao Kataoka responded by reassuring: After the crisis, I firmly believe that the arcade's revenues will come back to their pre-first level. I do not think at all to close rooms.
