The ghost panels in Elden Ring are a nice complement to the well-known Souls mechanics and most fans have fun to try out the different helping ghosts. At least in a case, the ash is not only useful, but also has a hidden ability with lore-reference - and this is cool, but also very sad.
Spoiler Warning: This item contains spoilers for a hidden NPC quest and game mechanics.
NPC ghost pitch
It's about it: The ashes around which it works is not the case of any enemy, but the Albinauric Latenna. She is one of the well-hidden NPCs that can be easily overlooked because we only get to her when we find and cross the crystal cavity on the lake in Liurnia. We meet you at the hut of the dormant wolf. She sits there at her fallen companion, the Wolf Lobo.
So we get Latenna's ashes: We talk to the Albinauric, so she asks us to bring her to a very specific place in the intermediate country. For this she closes us in the form of a ghost ash. This works exactly like the others: we can call them in combat and get support.

Latenna hidden ability
That's how the ghost ash is usually behaving in the fight: Latenna's spirit gives our opponents with arrows and that can be very useful. However, it usually remains exactly the place where we have summoned them.

LaTennas Special ability: An elden ring fan has made aware of Reddit on a cool special ability, which the ashes probably rare only in rare moments - or rely on. In the attached clip, the player's character is attacked by Magiern, a Giant Troll and a Big Wolf, when Latenna comes to help him.
This jumps shortly on the back of the wolf and rides on him. This is practical because it will be mobile at once and the whole thing looks really cool. In addition, however, it is above all a touching appreciation of the deep compound, which Latenna has with wolves - and above all the sad story of her faithful Wolf Lobo.
The hidden storytelling is typical of fromSoftware and achieves a very new level again thanks to the size and the many secrets in Elden Ring.
