Gaming expert Video Kolyma has had an illustrious career thus far and is considered to be one of the most influential game developers to date. As the creator of the Metal Gear franchise, he is credited with two entries in the list of best-selling video game series.

At The Video Game Awards, Video Kolyma revealed Death Stranding 2 was on the way and would be a PlayStation 5 special. While we still don't know much about it, Kolyma spoke about the conception of the video game on his Spotify podcast Brain Structure. He noted that he had the concept for the follow-up while making the first game and was quite much ready to go prior to the pandemic struck, but then that changed his viewpoint on everything, leading to him starting over on the script.
